Nowadays, there are many Christians that perform meditations such as yoga, qigong, tai chi chuan and etc. We should not practice these types of meditations because they come from the pagan’s teachings. The Bible says that we should abstain ourselves from any activity that is of the devil (1 Corinthians 10:20; Galatians 4:8). The demons can posses themselves in all kinds of objects and activities. These meditation techniques are stemmed from pagan religions. Yoga comes from the concept of Hindu. Qigong is practiced by followers of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Tai chi chuan is formed from influences of Taoism and Buddhism. James 4:4 states that we must not befriend with the world. If you befriend the world, you will become God’s enemy. Practicing these kinds of meditation techniques will open a doorway in your life to the demons. The demons can use this as a foothold to accuse you before God. This is because you are giving your support to the teachings of the pagan religion.
Some Christians claim that it is all right to practice these meditations for the sole purpose of obtaining health benefits. We should not compromise with the teaching of the pagan in any way. God wants us to show complete obedience towards him. Peace comes from God (Matthew 5:9; Philippians 4:7; 2 Thessalonians 3:16; John 14:27). Whenever you feel troubled, you should tell Jesus about your problem and ask him for the solution. Jesus will grant peace to all those who meditate their minds on him (Isaiah 26:3; Philippians 4:6). God said that we will not be without problem when we are on earth but we should trust in him in all our problems (John 16:33). We must only depend on God for our strength and salvation. If you have trust in God, God will answer your prayer and help you (Isaiah 12:2; Romans 15:13; Romans 8:6).
Christians should read the Bible daily and meditate on the word of God. Philippians 4:8 said that we should meditate on whatever that is true, noble, right, pure, lovely and admirable. It is important that you read the Bible so that you know the word of God. If you don’t know the word of God, the devil can easily attack you. You can easily get confused when someone preach another gospel and be led astray if you don’t know the word of God (Ephesians 4:11 – 15). The devil will accuse us before God from time to time (Job 1:6 – 22). We must submit ourselves to God fully so that the devil does not have a foothold to accuse us (James 4:7; Ephesians 4:27).

Step 1Find a good location to practice your exercise. Find a comfortable meditation position and then take a short moment to settle before you start.
Step 2Close your eyes and take a deep cleansing inhalation to let go of stress and anxiety from your mind and body. Now continue to breathe deeply and visualize that you are breathing in a blue wind of healing air that enters your abdomen and fills every part of your body, making it light up with positive energy. Now exhale the air and visualize it as a dark tainted cloud of drained energy and anger leaving your body, making you feel a lot more relaxed.
Step 3Continue to breathe in the healing air and let it heal your body and make you feel relaxed and free of stress. If thoughts enter your mind, just return your focus to your breath and continue with the exercise.
Do this breathing technique for as long as you feel like it. If you are a beginner, you most likely want to start with just a couple minutes meditation as you will have to get used to sitting still and be in control of your mind for long periods of time.

Meditation has different meaning for every person. For some of them it is simply clearing the mind and relaxing the body which gives you the feeling of peace and quiet that you need. During this process you create a pleasurable state of being and it is a way of escaping from the reality around you. For other people it means an extraordinary experience of alter state of reality. Basically, the meditation is a tool, used to cure sicknesses which exist only in our mind. But let’s follow some simple steps to get to the feeling of happiness and pleasure:
Step 1: The first most important thing is having a good posture which has to be very comfortable and stable. There are two types of meditation – the first one is used by most people and it is meditating on the floor. The second – not so popular type – is meditating on while you are sitting on a chair. You can meditate on any place wherever you feel comfortable. All you need to do is to sit comfortably and cross your legs. After that you have to cross your fingers in front of your body. When you cross your legs and fingers, you create an energy circle around you which gives you more stability.
Step 2: You have to free your mind in order to be completely relaxed. Eyes are the doors of the mind so they should be closed.
Step 3: Use your chakras. The chakras are a powerful tool which you can use as an inner visual. You need it in order to concentrate and use the energy flows in your body. Basically, there are seven chakras in the body which are energetic points within the body. The first one is placed down in the base of the spine which is called “the red root” chakra. The second chakra is orange and it is placed below your stomach. The third one is in the stomach and it is yellow. The chakras follow the colors of the rainbow. The next chakra is in the heart and it is green. The blue chakra is in the throat and the indigo chakra is in the third eye point. The last chakra is the “crown” chakra and it is placed on the top of the head and it has a white color. If you want to feel relaxed, you have to use all these chakras.
Step 4: Start inhaling and exhaling very slow. Focus on every separate chakra from your body. Imagine how this part of the body look like. Look how beautiful they are and spend enough time for each of them. Feel how the rainbow colors fill your body and get you at peace.
Step 5: Keep that position for at least 15 – 20 minutes a day in order to be healthier and happier than before.
Practicing meditation has many advantages:
First of all, after meditating you feel you are at peace with everything inside and outside your body and you keep that feeling for the entire day. No matter what happens throughout the day, you will be relieved. You will lower the level of stress which will reflect on the attitude towards the other people and you will have better personal relationships.
Second, this is an excellent way to control your emotions. If you get angry or annoyed, or if you feel ashamed, you need to spend just a couple of minutes inhaling and exhaling, concentrating on your breath, and you will feel better. Using that technique will prevent you from saying things you will be sorry about.
Third, having a mind at peace equals to living healthier. Most diseases are caused by too much stress and worries. For some people the meditating leads them to the feeling of being closer to God or the so called “nirvana”. This simple techniques help you overcome your animal nature and build your life to a next higher level. You go over the body consciousness which is the main source for suffering of the body. All the unhealthy thoughts and troubles reflect on the body’s condition.
All in all, meditating makes you stronger and healthier person with better personal and professional relationships, who lives healthier life.
