Daily Letters and answers re long-sober Christian AAs

Article by Richard G. Burns, J.D. (author Dick B.)

Paul: Thanks so much for writing. Your experiences and your direction are in total harmony with what our 23 years of research and writing have now produced. Christian men and women are rising up around the world to show the role that God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Bible played in the origins, history, founding, original Christian Fellowship program founded in Akron in 1935, and can and should play today. They don’t want to leave A.A. They do want to be ambassadors for Christ who stand on their right to express and share their experience freely and help newcomers find God through Christ and live according to the Word if they want to.

We’d like to help you get under way. My son Ken and I leave tomorrow for a week of meetings and conferences in Orange County, California on this very topic. If you are in that area, we would love to see you and meet with you. . Also, we have just produced and are offering 29 videos for .95 to be downloaded and used by individuals, groups, meetings, fellowships, talks, sponsoring, and conducting classes and Christian recovery fellowships.

Keep in mind that we will be on the road for a week and quite busy, but you certainly can email and also contact us through Ken’s cellular 808 276 4945.

Meanwhile, I have asked my son Ken to send you materials which will tell you how to start.

I look forward to keeping in touch with you.

Dick,I have BB&GB and just bought Dr Bob’s library. I am a fan. I have 24 years sobriety, been very active in AA, am very interested in AA roots / history, Oxford Group etc…..I have been torn for a number of years feeling like there are large numbers in AA meetings that have been plucked from the icy waters after sinking on the Titantic, but the rescue ship is the Andrea Doria! If you don’t have Christ, your salvation is physical and temporary, and I think I am being called to minister to the recovery movement as to the identity of the only real Higher Power.I am conflicted and praying and meditating for Gods direction daily. I have had some revelation and have a few ideas down on paper that I am excited about. I would love to visit with you about your calling, and having the courage to follow Christ into uncertain territories. Any chance I could call you? Please forward number and times if you are open to that. Thanks,Paul R
