Guided Meditation – A Free Mind Power Technique For a Better Life : free guided meditation

Many online sites offer free mind power techniques that allow people to concentrate better and improve their meditation. Thankfully enough, meditation has become a widely accepted method of relaxing the mind and the body. And why shouldn’t it be? Meditation is a blessed sanctuary when the rest of the modern world is barging in on your life. It is also a means of harnessing the powers of your mind to take the reins of your life and lead it to where you want to go.

One simple technique is the nature scene. Find yourself a peaceful and quiet place to stay where no rowdy children or nosy co-workers can disturb you. A nice, little nook at home or a cubicle in your office restroom should work just fine. Sit down in that corner, close your eyes, and take a deep breath. Never mind the sound of the ice cream truck or the chatter of office girls as they enter the restroom. You are in your private little world. This will be difficult to begin with, but will become easier as you meditate more and more everyday.

Count backwards, starting from 100, and continue breathing deeply as you reach zero. By the time you finish counting, you will feel your mind and body slipping gently into a very relaxed state. Now, imagine yourself standing on a strip of soft, warm sand, looking out over a deep blue ocean with sea gulls swirling above. Continue breathing deeply as you hear the roar of the ocean as the waves come crashing. Feel the cold water swishing through your toes as the waves hit the shore. Smell the salty sea breeze as the wind ruffles up your hair.

Then sit or lie down on your back and let your body absorb the soothing rays of the golden sun. Let the power of the sun, wind, and water overwhelm you, invigorate your senses, refresh every single cell that exists in your body.

This will be your own little corner of the world. This is where all things are good, and you are safe and free from everything else that worries you. When you are beset with worries, simply take up this free mind power technique to give you the mental relaxation you much deserve. Of course you can re-invent the nature technique and re-create your own scene to suit your tastes. If you know a particular spot of nature that has left you with pleasant memories, you may use that scene, too.

You can also modify the first part of this meditation technique by visualizing the colors of the rainbow instead of counting backwards. Only, you have to make sure that you can actually see the colors in your mind’s eye. If you are having difficulty doing so, visualize objects of each color, such as a red apple, an orange t-shirt, a yellow star, and so on.

Now, close your eyes and breathe deeply. Imagine a light, each having the colors of the rainbow, emanating from your feet, passing through your abdomen, and ending up on the top part of your head. Start with the color violet, then indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. When you have visualized the red light on your head, lead your mind to your nature scene and bask in your private moments there. When you are ready to leave, visualize the rainbow-colored lights moving through your body again, this time starting with red and ending with violet. You will feel better and more relaxed when you open your eyes.

The nature scene is a free mind power technique well-known to many and known to be an effective way of reaching the mind’s alpha state and improving mind power.

The Stabilizing Power Of Meditation

As we go through life things happen to us to get us off course. Things that make us wonder about the true benevolence, kindness and love of life and the universe. The beauty of meditation is that when you meditate you truly get grounded with life and you are able to see how everything is really well and going the way its supposed to. You are doing your part, others are doing their part and together the world is a beautiful place for everyone to live in. As corny as it may sound, I truly believe you will find that meditation brings you to the point of recognizing the beauty of the world around you simply by forcing you to stop and recognize it.

But of course in this beautiful world we live in there is pain and there is suffering. When we are faced with this pain and suffering we are faced with two choices. One choice is to get stuck in that pain and we stay there for days, weeks, months, years, even an entire lifetime. The other choice is that we can work through that pain, come to terms with what it means for our life, how its actually there to help us grow and then grow from it. Because of these challenges in life it is important to stay grounded. It is important to stay close to the center of what life is all about, the beauty of life, the wonder of life. Meditation is really the most powerful tool, the most powerful force that you can draw upon to get through your day, through your year, through your life. When those challenges come, if youre meditating every day, every night, it doesnt take long to get re-grounded and re-centered back to why you are here, what your purpose is and what youre supposed to learn from the challenges that are facing you right now.

Challenges will come; its a part of living. They help us grow, they help us become stronger and as we get stronger more challenges come. What meditation does is keep you so that when challenges come you are able to face them with a full cup. Youre able to face it grounded and with everything you have inside of you because you know and you are aware of who and what you are through meditation. There have been many challenges throughout my life and I feel that I have been blessed through each and every one of them because no matter what comes from each and every one of them I know that from my own personal experience, that no matter what comes my way Im taking care of myself. Im grounded in the purpose and meaning of life by being still, by being silent, by being present with what is.

If you learn to practice meditation every day you will find that when you are grounded you will be prepared for anything. When challenges come, because you are grounded and meditation has taught you that all is well, you will be able to face lifes challenges with understanding. Its a feeling, a sense of all is well even if all right now doesnt feel well or seem well to the immediate mind; yet deep inside, meditation helps us to be grounded and face the challenges in life with equanimity, with peace, with truly believing that in the end all will be well. Meditation teaches you to live in the here and now. No matter whats happening right here, right now theres always something beautiful to be with. Meditation also teaches us that when we focus on the now we lose the fear of what could be, what has been, because there is nothing that we cannot handle one breath at a time right now. It teaches us to say What do I need to do right here and now to get over this hurdle at this moment? and then approach the challenge grounded and capable. When you practice and live by this you will find that no matter how much you feel overwhelmed, over time you will be able to overcome any hurdle no matter how high it seems. This is why I encourage you to meditate every morning, every night; so that when life does challenge you and it will you will be able to handle these challenges one step at a time. You will be able to replenish yourself, fill yourself back up so that you can wake and approach each new day and the challenges that come with it.

Benefits Of Power Yoga : benefits of Yoga

Yoga is becoming more and more popular with more people realizing all of the many benefits it offers. Though there are a few different types of yoga, and they all offer great benefits to the body, one very popular type is power yoga. However, exactly what is power yoga?

It is the form of yoga based on Ashtanga but incorporating a power aspect to it. The power is designed to increase the strength all over the body. With flowing postures, not only is strength and flexibility increased, but also a big cardiovascular component is incorporated. It is a great form of exercise for a complete workout.

Even with power yoga, there are focuses. For instance, core power yoga concentrates on strengthening the core, which means not only the abdominals, but also the back muscles. With this muscle toning workout, a long, lean, strong body will be the result.

Strength, endurance, and flexibility will also be increased with core power yoga.

Power yoga poses range from novice to advanced, and while some poses look like they can never be attained, with a good focused and consistent practice, people practicing yoga will continue to be amazed at how much better they continue to get. Things they thought they never could do may soon come easy.

Some beginner power yoga moves are things like the basic sun salutations, which begin with moves like forward bends and downward dog, moving into upward dog. These poses not only increase flexibility and strength, but also endurance and balance.

Other moves in power yoga are flows consisting of vinyasa poses, then warrior sequences, balance moves (like tree pose or awkward chair) and then triangle pose. Triangle pose has a lot of adaptations to work for the beginner to the advanced practice and is an excellent pose for strengthening the core as well as back and leg flexibility.

The balance poses are wonderful for mind body awareness, building muscle and focus. As each person gets more advanced, adaptations can be made like binding and holding the poses for longer.

Power yoga benefits are huge, and whether done as the only type of workout or in conjunction with other forms of exercise, these benefits range from body to spirit. One great benefit of power yoga is that it touches on all components of exercise – strength, endurance, flexibility and power.

People are continually surprised at how their bodies change when a yoga practice is started. Muscles develop and fat is shed with power yoga. Some people enjoy yoga in a class, others like doing it in the quiet of their own home. Whatever the case may be, it is a beneficial practice to begin and incorporate into daily life.

Meditation Has the Power to Initiate Current of Transformation

Article by Chandresh B

Meditation is a process that works inward out. It restores life-energy and sets in the flood of transformation. People practicing meditation can stay healthy and better manage problems arising from stress and strain.

Meditation is a natural process that brings relief from stress and strain that comes from life. It is not just relaxation of the mind, but is a phenomenon that rejuvenates the mind, soul and health of a person. It’s an evolutionary process that lifts people from their mental garbage and brings them close to their real self. Meditation brings higher level of awareness and helps to make people healthy and strong as individuals.

There are some wrong notions about meditation. Some believe that it is a way to make little healing of some diseases or to just get some peace of mind. But, the fact is, it is not so plain. It has the power to completely bring an overhaul in a person’s physical, spiritual, mental, social and emotional well being. It brings inward out transformation so as to restore health, peace and tranquility in individuals.

Everything that we see outside is consciousness and that emanates from the spirit within. Meditation is a process that spirals life inward and so from its practice comes the power to handle every situation of life with much ease. People can then gain management skills to handle relationships, earn money, overcome stress, cure illness and become a winner in life. It is not just limited to material gains but spiritual gains as well.

Practicing meditation brings perfection in every aspect of life. People then no longer remain escaper from life but become embracers of life. There is another wrong notion that clouds the practitioners of meditation. Some people think that it is concentration of the mind and requires effort. But then it is not so. It is beyond mind and all material perceptions. There are no radical dreams, music, and divine being associated with it. Meditation tabs on the source of life energy to rejuvenate it. In this process some people may be experiencing supernatural things but these are merely personal gains.

In a nut shell, meditation touches on the life energy so as to bring it back to people who have lost it or got it distorted. It has the power to restore life in its original form to help people become perfect as individuals and gain good health. It sets in a flood of transformation so as to guide people to maintain moral standards, gain good health, develop good personality, have a good social presence and become perfect individuals. The best thing about it is there is no age bar and everyone can practice meditation at any age.

Kundalini Meditation: Feel the Power

Article by Rasmus Lindgren

Kundalini meditation is, to put it simply, Buddhist meditation to an almost excessive degree. Yet unlike other types of excess, this form of spiritual release and empowerment is actually good for you.
Kundalini meditation draws its power from the base of the spine; indeed, the embodiment of this meditative form is envisioned as a coil of power that unravels from deep within you. Many practitioners report that a single session of Kundalini meditation will produce a divine feeling of ultimate personal empowerment; one unrivalled and unduplicated in this hurried, hard driving world, where many people are made to feel less than the sum of who they are.
Sure, you could try a multitude of other lifestyle practices that deliver a feeling of ultimate power. You could broker a big business deal, seek a raise or a promotion at work, spend a wad of cash on a fast, high-powered car, or assume leadership of a local club or organization-perhaps even start one of your own, that pertains to your interests and your strengths as a person.
While all of these activities may yield the power that you desire, and may indeed be worthwhile additions to your already busy life and lifestyle, they are just that: additions. Any single one of these activities-and especially any combination thereof-will put stress and strain on your life, and perhaps on your pocketbook. This is not to say, certainly, that you should not pursue the profession of your dreams, seek a position of leadership in your favorite organization, or buy the fast car of your dreams.
Yet if all you seek is an enhanced feeling of sublime personal power, you certainly have other options; the first and foremost being Kundalini meditation.
This form of meditation leaves you with a feeling of increased energy and divine self-worth. After just one session you will feel more confident, more empowered, basically ready to take on the world.
So if you do decide to pursue a long-held personal goal, be it the attainment of a raise or promotion, the purchase of a luxury item, the pursuit of a particular leadership position, etc., the practice of Kundalini meditation can facilitate that goal.
If not, then you still stand to benefit from the process and practice of Kundalini meditation; a form of meditation that unleashes the ultimate personal power, restoring your energy and making you feel capable of doing anything.
All forms of meditation can produce feelings of increased personal power. Yet Kundalini meditation is designed specifically to uncoil the strength that lies within; to bring out the ‘beast’ in you, but in a positive, affirming manner.
Discover Kundalini meditation today and unleash your inner power. A whole new world awaits you.

Research by Dr Vincent Giampapa, MD, Former President of American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine, New England Journal of Medicine Dr Giampapa suggested that binaural beats “dramatically” affects the production of three hormones directly related to longevity of life and overall well-being; cortisol, DHEA and melatonin 1) Cortisol is found in the adrenal glands and impacts learning and memory, as too much of it is bad for us and causes stress. This is reduced by binaural beats 2) DHEA is used as a “source ingredient” for virtually every “good hormone” the body needs, and helps our immune system. This is increased by binaural beats 3) Melatonin is the chemical produced during deep, natural sleep. Having lots of DHEA and melatonin is good for us. This is increased by brainwave entrainment using binaural beats. Research by Dr Margaret Patterson & Dr Ifor
